Abraham vs Evolution

This comes from the 04/19/1997 Silver Spring, MD workshop. The question was, “Are we descended from apes?”

ABRAHAM: Is that which is now human an extension of that which was now ape? No. Did the human experience evolve as a result of the experience of the ape? Yes.

QUESTIONER: Is there a link between the two of them?

ABRAHAM: Vibrationally, yes. Physically, no.

No link, Abraham? Really?

The correct answer is that there is a physical link between apes and humans. In fact, the family Hominidae (aka “great apes”) includes humans, chimps, and gorillas. DNA clearly reveals that we (chimps, gorillas, humans) are all close cousins and share a common ancestor.

Abraham adds to their nonsense with this statement: "All of the species upon the planet, without exception, come forth complete and independent as perceived...You are physical embodiments of intentions that have been set forth in completion."

This suggests that chimpanzees were always chimpanzees, humans were always humans, and deer were always deer. Yet there is overwhelming evidence (DNA, fossils, bacteria) showing us that every species that exists today is a mutation of its ancestors and that they did not come forth complete and independent in any way, shape, or form. And that is a fact.

  1. Great website but your dogma about evolution is misguided. The 'facts' are not in!

The evolutionary theory has several flaws, particularly in the aspects of irreducible complexity and the
    second law of thermodynamics.

Some schools of evolutionary thought are as much a cult as the Abers.

  2. Hey Anonymous,

I would like to respectfully disagree.

There is no irreducible complexity. That's just an argument that people make from a lack of understanding of how non-random evolution occurs. And there actually is no contradiction between the second law of thermodynamics and evolution.

Evolution is a fact, and there is an abundant amount of evidence to show that it has occurred. We know that we are apes and that we are descended from a common ancestor as other apes.

I don't know much about evolutionary schools.

    Thanks for the comment,

  3. Did you ever consider that source set up the genetic code in all life forms just as little prank to make those of us not as savvy as Esther Hicks just think there are links.

Come on, now. We have over 50% of the genes that common wheat has. Does that mean we descended from wheat? If so, how come we have so many problems with gluten?

As Esther Hicks has correctly pointed out, this is all just a cosmic prank by Source and, now that she's channeling Jerry, he will help sort it out with his wise humor.

Expose me. My pass is expiring and I have to return to the happy place with all the nice pills.

No. That's very naive of me. I suppose it's likely that Source thought they'd have a good laugh about that one.

Lol. True. I would ask Abraham about this, but I think the subject of wheat makes them uncomfortable because of those damned crop circles.

His wise, and sometimes condescending, sense of humor. He was pretty harsh on that guy in the last workshop when he said, "Don't look at your notes. Look at us." (this is paraphrasing, which I rarely do).
